The 7th International Symposium on Cement & Concrete (ISCC2010), a quadrennial international conference and 11th International Conference on Advance in Concrete Technology and Sustainable Development are to be held during May 9-12, 2010, in Jinan P. R. China. The Organize Committee is very delighted to invite you to the ISCC 2010 and looks forward to welcoming you to this event.

Instructions to Authors
(For A4 format)
In order to guarantee the timely and quality publication of the proceedings of international
conferences, all authors should read the following instructions carefully before typing their papers.
1. A submitted paper must be typeset in two columns within the rectangular frame of 170 ¡Á
230 mm in the paper of A4 size. It is necessary to provide both electronic version in Microsoft
Word Format and a hard copy with plasma typing.
2. The title of the paper (1st heading), centering between the margins of the frame, should be
typed in bold-faced capital and lowercase letters of 14pt word size by Times New Roman form of
written £¨this form used for all the paper, if not indicated£©, leaving a two-lines blank space
between the title and the upper-deadline.
3. The author's name(s), 12pt word size, is centered below the title with a one-line blank space
in between, which is given by the way of the surname behind the initials of the given names. Make
a superscript ¡°*¡± to point out the corresponding author and give its tel. No., fax. No. and e-mail
address at the bottom note in 8pt word size.
The author's affiliation(s) (including organization and address), 10pt word size and Italic form,
also centering between the margins, should be typed directly under the author's name(s). If there
are different affiliations, please mark serial numbers and make superscripts at the right top corner
of the related names, respectively.
4. Abstract and Keywords: Use the title in bold letters to star each part from the left margin of
the column and then the content follows immediately. All the words are in 10pt size. Abstract is
within 200 words. Keywords should be no more than 6 words.
5. Start the text under the author's affiliation with a two-lines blank space in between. The text
should be arranged in two columns. The content is typed in single space and 10pt word size with
an indent of 2 characters from the left margin for the fist line of each paragraph. In case of a
certain number of symbols that can¡¯t be typed by typewriter, they can be drawn with a black-ink
pen in a meticulous manner. If there is any note, make a superscript at the right top corner of the
letter that needs to be noted. The relevant note should be placed at the last line of the same page,
with a thin line of 50 mm in length drawn from the left margin to separate the text and the footnote
in 8 pt word size.
6. Subheadings
The 2nd Heading, started from the left margin of the column with a one-line blank space
above and below, should be typed in boldfaced capital and lowercase letters of 12pt word size.
When numbered, the serial numbers should be 1, 2, 3, ...
The 3rd Heading (if any), started from the left margin of the column with a one-line blank
space above, typed in capital and lowercase lean letters of 10pt word size, followed by the text on
the next line without blank space in between. When numbered, the serial numbers should be (1),
(2), (3), ...
7. Equations can be started on a new line to the left margin of the column. The serial number
should be placed up to the right margin of the column. For mathematical expressions, the solidus
( / ) should be used instead of built-up fractions in running text and in display wherever clarity will
not be jeopardized. Use ¡°exp¡± for complicated exponentials.
8. Figures (refer with: Fig. 1, Fig. 2 ¡) should be presented as part of the text with the
caption below the figures. Utmost care must be taken to insert the figures in correct alignment with
the text. General, only original drawings or photographic reproduction are acceptable. Those
words or symbols blurred or too small for identification must be retyped and repasted. The lines,
symbols and words in figures should be in black, not in gray color. If possible, please include your
figures as graphic images in the electronic version.
Photographs should be in black and white, not in color. They should be distinct with sharp
black/white contrast. Neither Xeroxed photos nor slides (films) are acceptable. Before being stuck
firmly onto the appropriate position of the typing paper, photographs should be numbered on the
back along with an arrow indicating each photo's upward direction,
9. Tables (refer with: Table 1, Table 2, ¡) with the caption above should be placed as near as
possible to the related text at the same page, but in such a way to avoid confusion with the text. If
it is really difficult to do so, they can appear right on the upper part of next page. In case of tables
and figures exceed the column breadth in size, they should be centered between the two margins of
the whole print area, and the text should go through the whole column before turning to the next
column. Neither table nor figure is allowed to exceed the print area in size. The word (or symbol)
size of tables can be equal to or slightly smaller than that of the text.
10. References
References should be marked in sequence at the corresponding place where they are referred
to with the serial numbers [1], [2], [3], ... in the same size of the text words, and these numbers
should correspond to those of the references listed at the end of the text. For simplicity it is not
necessary to give the title of the paper in the list. The references should appear in the following
format.
For journals: author(s), name of journal, volume number, issue number, year (in bracket),
page;
For books: author(s), title of the book, volume number (if any), city, publisher, year (in
bracket), page.
A reference entry translated from Chinese or Japanese, etc. must be followed by a note in
brackets, indicating its original language, e.g. (in Chinese), (in Japanese), etc.
11. The author is requested to mark gently with pencil the page number and total pages at the
right lower corner of each sheet of the paper. For example, a paper composed of 4 sheets can be
marked successively with 1/4 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4.
12. Note on the publication of papers
The author is completely responsible for the scientific content of the paper and the correctness
of its presentation, and guarantees that the paper has never been published elsewhere. The author
agrees to submit the paper for publication to International Academic Publishers.
13. The papers that fail to comply with the above instructions or for other reason may not be
collected in the proceedings.
Note: A typesetting example is attached for your reference.
